Ahuachapán Project

Project Description

Since March 2022, EOAC supports about over 30 children and families in need from the city of Ahuachapán in El Salvador, Central America. Through donations of funds, Eyes Of A Child provides them with food, toys, school supplies, and entertainment. We gather the children together a few times per year for events and deliver them donations. The events are being organized by Benjamin and Maria at their home.

Why does this matter to us?

Lucia Montes, Antonio’s ex co-worker, contacted Antonio during the beginning of 2022 catching EOAC’s attention to the situation at her friend’s community at Ahuachapán, located in El Salvador Country, in Central America, as they are living in poor conditions. Ahuachapán is a city with a population of 110,511 people. According to a report by Francisco Gavidia University, poverty in El Salvador has increased on 33.3% in 2021 because of the Covid-19, which means over 2 million people is living in poverty. People there live on less than $5.50 per day per person. We saw this as a big opportunity to share love, support, and expand our organization!

Life Sponsorship Program

During the afternoon of the Saturday of July 23rd 2022, the representatives of the “Ahuachapán, El Salvador Project” got together to come up with a new program called “Life Sponsorship”, which consists of 32 children in need of food, education, clothing, housing, and medical care. Our goal is to get 32 sponsors for these children.
