Scholarship

Project Description

Since 2018, we started the Scholarship and Grant program to support a young adult with their education. Tuitions are paid through volunteered donated funds.

What do we do?

The board directors get together to select one dedicated student that has been financially struggling with paying the school’s tuition.

In 2019, Lucas Valencia, a beloved young adult became our Eyes Of A Child – A Vision of Hope GRANT Winner. Because of his dedication with his studies and his love for photography, cinema and music, EAOC board of directors choose him as the grant Winner of the year. Lucas has graduated from his Associate Degree in Film/TV Media at Moorpark College. Lucas has volunteered many times to work at Ronald McDonald House, and he plays saxophone at his church.

“My name is María Valentino, I am currently enrolled at the University of Tijuana, Mexico, studying Cinema, and audiovisual production. It has been a life-changing experience to have come across Eyes of a Child – A Vision of Hope. As an institution, they have supported me so that I may continue with my studies. It is an honor to be the first beneficiary of this scholarship and I am sure this will encourage Eyes of a Child to continue to help more young people to finish their studies. With your example and dedication, you show us that there are many opportunities to grow and be good people. I hope to change or impact someone’s life as you have changed and impacted mine. Thanks for everything and to everyone who is part of this beautiful organization.”
