Sete Lagoas, Brazil Project

Project Description

In 2022 we were introduced to a Brazilian non-profit and non-gov organization called Associação Comunitária Criança Feliz  (ACCF), located in Sete Lagoas city, state of Minas Gerais (Brazil), that supports local families and children by providing alphabetization classes, food, etc. We fell in love with their purpose and dedication and decided to jump into a partnership.

What do we do?

We support over 20 children through donations of food, gifts, school supplies & uniforms, clothing, and shoes, and we organize events to entertain them. Eyes Of A Child provides financial support that comes from donations of goods and/or funds throughout the year to help maintain the program.

Who’s responsible?

Jose Marcos, project Director in Sete Lagoas city, inside the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Nelci Schallenberger, Project Director in U.S.A.

What We Do

We support the children from the ACCF with 3 events per year: Back to School, Children’s Day and Holiday.

In Brazil, about 23.7% of the population, or approximately 50 million people, live in poverty, with extreme poverty prevalent in rural areas and favelas.

By donating $39 per month for at least six months, you can sponsor a child and provide essential support like clean water, food, shelter, healthcare, education, clothing, and life skills. Your contribution helps break the cycle of poverty and supports the child in becoming self-sufficient. Sponsors receive regular updates on how their support is positively impacting the children’s lives.
