Although born in Chile, Antonio Covarrubia, the Eyes of a Child founder lived his twenties in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. His memories from childhood brought him hope that one day he can give back to the children in need so the children may also have the same opportunities that he had.
Antonio Covarrubia received love, care, and parenting from a Chilean couple, Rebecca Colodro de Bitran and her husband, Gabriel Bitran. Through the years, the couple gave Antonio guidance and the necessary values to succeed in life. It has been Antonio's dream to change not one but many children’s life.
Antonio inspired his friends to come together and to work on this wonderful cause. After many gatherings, it was decided to award Rebecca Colodro de Bitran and her husband Gabriel Bitran (Antonio’s Chilean family). The ceremony motivated all parties in the charity to continue to make a difference in a child's life.
